Everything you need to participate in parish life at St. John of the Cross — Mass schedules, sacraments, community opportunities, and more.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)

CLOW is offered during 9:00am Mass on Sundays.  Children begin Mass with their families, then are invited to come forward before the scripture readings. A trained liturgy leader and volunteers lead them to the Community Room of the church, where they participate in age-appropriate prayers and readings.

Bulletins

Low-Gluten Hosts Available Upon Request Before Mass Begins

St. John of the Cross offers low-gluten (.001%) hosts to address the needs of those affected by Celiac disease or other conditions. If you wish to receive a low-gluten host, before Mass begins, go to the sacristy and tell the sacristan that you need a low-gluten host.

If you are unsure who the sacristan is, by all means ask the priest, an usher, or other staff member to help. The hosts will be consecrated during the Mass in a separate pix. When it is time to receive communion, you go to the presiding priest and say “gluten-free” clearly and audibly for the priest to hear. Only the presiding priest will have the pix with the low-gluten hosts.

Please do this every mass you attend, even if you think the priest knows who you are. If you have a child who will be receiving low-gluten please make sure they also speak clearly.
