"It is not our body which feels, not our mind which thinks, but we, as single human beings, who both feel and think." Thomas Aquinas
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program is the Catholic Church’s adult faith formation program which invites adults:
who have never been baptized,
who have been baptized Catholic but not completed the Sacraments of Initiation
(Eucharist and Confirmation) or
who have been baptized in another faith and wish to become Catholic,
to explore their journey of faith in the life of the Catholic Church.

The RCIA program gives people on a faith journey an opportunity to “come and see” not only what the Catholic Church and a life of faith in it is all about, but also an opportunity to explore how the Lord may be calling them into his life in a more complete way.
St. John of the Cross RCIA

begins Tuesday, September, 30, 2008
and for those ready to say “YES!”
culminates
at the Easter Vigil in April, 2009.

The journey is different for everyone and the way the Lord calls and invites us into his life is often through the invitation of others. If you are interested in becoming Catholic or completing the sacraments of initiation or know someone who is, please contact Deb Nickoloff at 630-850-9848 or St. John of the Cross Parish Center.
